Customer service, FAQ and ticket system

Many starting webshops make the mistake to focus exclusively on webshop sales. In the long term, the degree of service for existing customers is far more important. To ensure customer satisfaction, SEOshop has integrated a number of modules. For questions, customers can use a contact form which is displayed next to the FAQs. Via the control panel, the webshop keeper can simply categorise and answer customer questions. Via the advanced search engine, new visitors can put questions to your webshop; on the basis of relevance, the system can show the visitor earlier answers.

The FAQs and the contact form are the basis of your customer service. SEOshop operates a ticket system. Customers having a profile at your webshop can ask questions via a form. As soon as the customer has sent their question, it can be read on a neatly arranged page of your control panel. Via the control panel, you can give an answer immediately and set the ticket status to “answered”. The customer then receives a notification by e-mail and the ticket gets a green tick, in this way you will not miss a single question. You also have the possibility to adapt the notification emails in the control panel.

Tagging and sharing

A tag is a key word or descriptive term of a service or product. Tags create classifications. Tags can be seen as key words used by co-users, which are useful in website searches. Tagging has a social character. The ordering process is carried out by the webshop visitors. Products with similar tags are automatically linked within the system. Think, for instance, of a telephone charger and a mobile phone. As tags, both will have the same type number because the system recognises them as belonging together.

Reviews

A review is a customer’s opinion about a particular product and/or service. It enables the visitor to share user experience with fellow visitors. Many comparison sites already use reviews successfully.

One week after the customer has ordered products, SEOshop automatically sends an email asking if the customer wishes to write a review about the product. In return for the review, the customer could be offered a discount voucher. This can be set as an option. A webshop owner has the option to check reviews in advance. In this way, unwanted messages can be prevented from being published.

Comparing

A SEOshop webshop owner has the possibility to make product types. A product type contains all the specifications of the product. For a washing machine, for instance, you can think of revolutions per minute, energy label, washing programmes, etc.

Every product comes under a product type and has the same specification factors as an equivalent product. A Bosch washing machine has the same specification factors as a Philips washing machine, the only difference is the values. In the SEOshop control panel, a webshop owner can create product types and assign products to a type. It is possible for a visitor to compare two equivalent products within a product type group. In this way, one can see, for instance, why the Philips washing machine is 100 euros more expensive due to the higher rpm.
