SEOshop joins leading POS company Lightspeed

Today marks a special day for all of us. In the previous month, we have successfully launched our new e-commerce platform to rave reviews. Today, we are delighted to announce that we have been acquired by Lightspeed, the world’s largest supplier of POS (Point-of-Sale) systems.

A little over seven years ago, we set off with SEOshop, envisioning developing the most reliable and user-friendly e-commerce platform available. Our efforts have been rewarded and since then SEOshop has proudly welcomed more than 8,000 customers. By combining the joint expertise and capacity of SEOshop and Lightspeed, we will be able to innovate even faster and soon offer an omni-channel solution.

What This Means for You

As of January 2016, SEOshop will change its brand name to Lightspeed. Together with Lightspeed, our team will consist of 450 highly motivated experts. Dennis and I will remain responsible for the e-commerce platform. We will integrate our vision and make sure to always provide you with the best technology available for your business. In Lightspeed, we have found a robust partner who will generously invest in further development of our technology.

It truly is a great day for SEOshop and Lightspeed, and we hope that you will join us in sharing our excitement. Read our official press statement here.

Sincerely,

Ruud Stelder, Dennis Cuijpers and the SEOshop Team
